Crescent Roll Pigs & Beans Casserole

A few nights ago I wanted some comfort food, but I didn't want to put much effort into it.  So I grabbed a few ingredients from my pantry and refrigerator and threw together my version a of a hot dog and beans casserole.

Ingredients:
Preparation:
Preheat oven to  325  degrees.

1.  Poke each sausage with fork and place in slow boiling water for 20 minutes.  Poking the holes and boiling it helps pull out some of the fat so that your casserole won't be too greasy.

2.  Put sausages on a cutting board to cool, then cut into 1 inch pieces.

3. Mix together, in an oven safe casserole dish with lid, beans, cubed cheese, ketchup, mustard, and sausages.  Set aside.

4. Roll up your crescent rolls  and place them gently on top of the beans and franks.  Putlid on.

5. Bake for 25 minutes at 325 degrees, with lid on.

6. Turn heat up to 350 degrees and take lid off of the casserole dish.  Bake for another 5 to 15 minutes, to brown the crescent rolls.

Note:  When checking the rolls, be sure to check the bottom to make sure they aren't soggy.  They will get baked, you just need to have patience.

Bon appetit!
